So awhile ago I was inspired by the hive community to try out a patina experiment to blacked some coins and so I did just that with some copper rounds and one Silver round.

I was happy with the initial results however I noticed that the coins are starting to change and form this white stuff on them , 
Is there anything I can do to treat the coins maybe sealing them in something permanently will help since these are copper rounds I'm.not really worried about running its value but I would like to preserve the look.

Also another interesting thing happened I printed some coin stand out of black filament on the 3d printer and it seem to have altered one of the coins almost look like the patina got absorbed into the plastic .
