**Hilda**: Stanley! You're back!
**Stanley**: I guess I am.
**Hilda**: Where were you? I was worried sick.
**Stanley**: I was...out of the office. As they say.
**Hilda**: Actually, they usually say "in the office," working late.
**Stanley**: (looking as though he's been caught)
**Stanley**: Hilda, that kinda reminds me...I've been doing some thinking while away.
**Hilda**: About what?
**Stanley**: You. Me. Us.
**Hilda**: What about...us?
**Stanley**: Two things...a gift of jewelry...and a simple yes or no question.
**Hilda** (takes a deep gulp)
