The US marshals service has successfully sold bitcoin 2170,7 two bidders at the last auction on March 9, reported the press Secretary of Department on Thursday.


In a statement to the press, the Secretary of the service said that bitcoins were distributed among the winners of the auction, one of which received 2100, and the other – the remaining 70.7. The identity of the buyers were not disclosed.

It is unclear whether bitcoins were bought at market prices, but at the time of printing the total value of bitcoins was about $18.7 million.

In total, 42 people registered to participate in the auction, the press Secretary said.

Earlier sale of bitcoins from the auction service is implemented in February.
