Aducation they say is vital for one to succeed in this digital age, although the struggles that comes in between the process most especially in this part of the world (Nigeria and Africa at large) sometimes makes education not worth the advantages it poses to have in our lives, but again looking at the disadvantages one of which includes the dangers of illiteracy gives one no other choice but to endure the yoke it gives.

> From secondary school (most especially for those who weren't privileged to attend a private school, or those who went to negligent boarding facility.) going through the higher institution which is no longer seen as a school but a jungle where one must learn to survive on their own if they are to make it back in one piece.Taking it from the bottom one enters the four walls of a government secondary school precisely from Junior secondary school one (JSS1), the first thing the child gets exposed to in negligence of teachers in their duties, which is as a result of the fact that teachers cannot rely on salary on a monthly basis so they have no choice but to look outside for other sources of income that most times deprived them of going to school to teach as they have families to tend to also. Should the school, the government, or perhaps the teachers be blamed for this? Because at the end of the day it is the students who suffer the most.

Going back to the journey, the child after experiencing the whole sinearo of teachers negligence faces another form of abuse from both teachers and students. Especially in the government secondary school where there is always this teacher who feels all student must toughen up if they must succeed in that school and creates an abusive form of discipline of which it will definitely be impossible for any student to escape from as long as they continue schooling there.
> Punishment for any slight mistake which makes some students who cannot adapt rebel and are then seen as wayward. Now the child trying to endure the excessive disciplinary measures of the school runs into bullies majority who where a product of violent homes and excessive disciplinary measures from the school have no where to seek for help because the Schools policies though have excessive disciplinary measures but cannot protect the students from internal or external abuses leaving the child to learn to survive alone, and at the same time giving the child two options either to join the strong groups or to find a way to be strong also, in all finding a way to survive. What about the child put in a boarding facility who goes through the same situations but at a worse extent because most boarding facilities don't even have what it takes to feed the students well leaving them malnutrited, not to talk about the excessive bullying which is impossible to escape given the situation involved, sexual abuse from both students and teachers is another thing to look out for of which the younger ones are mostly victims of.

*The effect here is not just the abuse but the message it passes of which majority go with the notion that every new intake must go through it making it almost impossible to stop as those who started it ensures that those who they have abused do the same to others which turns the prey into the predator.Entering into the higher institution, especially in Nigeria is a life you don't want if you are not from a financially stabled family, even if you manage to excel in the Senior School Certificate Examination which many fail to pass not because they are dull, but because you have a corrupt system to which one would have to pray hard that scripts or results do not get into the wrong hands as many have failed due to errors from those handling the scripts. Even after getting across that one must look out for different entry examinations as one is expected to pass all and even at that getting into the higher institution is not still 100% assured, and even if you manage to enter the tendency of not studying your course of choice is high, some decides to accept after several failed attempts while others accept then try to change courses at the long run.Moving forward, the child is all grown up, goes into the higher institution (government owned) with a mindset of survival and a wanting to explore everything that has been denied.*

> But unfortunately faces and even worse faith by finding out the higher institution is worse than what had been imagined and the life there is totally different from the hardship endured in the boarding school. Now a one would have to be careful about how they move, a good boy/girl would have to look for measures to prevent association or trouble with cultist, look for measures to avoid being harassed and victimized by corrupt lecturers, find ways to tackle excessive per pressure and try to adapt to all the compulsory fees and dues by faculty, departments, lecturers and other compulsory projects. In conclusion the educational system in this part of the world has made education difficult and uncomfortable to handle for students, that Even after paying all your fees getting screened is another thug of war one must be ready to conquer as some would even be deprived of writing exams as a result. Or is it missing scripts due to negligence of the invigilators and lecturers and sometimes purposeful acts just to ensure a student fails for one reason or the other.

**The worse of all is at the end of the day the corriculum is so outdated that the knowledge is not enough to secure a good paying job making the student learn other skills, keeping the certificate as a ceremonial archivement.**
