And having regained the light heavyweight title, he sent a message across the sport: "I'm back!"

Jones beat his rival at UFC 182 two and a half years ago, but had twice been stripped of his title.

Having served a year-long suspension after failing a doping test four days before UFC 200 last year, Jones returned to the ring to great success, ending the bout with a devastating head kick. This, for him, was his redemption.

“I made it back,” Jones said afterwards.
