This week has been rather "business as usual" for me in Splinterlands. We're well into the season, so there's no huge flurry of activity. Even the news activity coming out from the Splinterland developers have not been as much as before. But of course, all that can easily be explained by the ongoing SPLINTERFEST!
All that information suddenly spilled out into the open today as attendees shared snippets of what was going on stage during Splinterfest 😱. What was shown? I'll share that later on. 😜
But before I go into detail...

**A brief introduction before I start though...**

*Good Day to all Splinterlands players! (and people of HIVE! 😜) I've made it a point to blog about my weekly progress and experiences in Splinterlands/HIVE in my "weekly diary". Splinterlands & HIVE are what I'd consider to be my entry point into the World of Crypto, and I intend to use this as a means to look back on the path I've taken in the years ahead.⏳⏳⏳*
*This is now the **46th** consecutive week writing in my Diary (of sorts) detailing my Splinterlands Journey ever since I started this game. Of course, this also marks my **37th** weekly giveaway! 🎉🥳🎊*

As mentioned, since we're in the middle of a season, there has been no flurry of activity that can be seen at the start/end. That is completely fine with me though. I'm still happily farming my daily focuses and reward chests on my main and alt accounts. 🤑 The rewards haven't been fantastic, but I'm ok with a slow grind as long as I'm making progress.

In anticipation of the SPS rewards for the Land and TD proposal which passed, I've snapped up a hundred packs of TD on the HIVE Engine market at a discount. 😁 That should hopefully net me some nice returns while waiting for the game itself to launch. 🏰🏰🏰
As for land, based on the current prices, it probably isn't worth it yet to buy any. Of course I could be wrong and land prices could shoot up even further when it finally launches. But I'm just basing it on the SPS payouts for now. 🗺️🗺️🗺️

It's SPLINTERFEST 2022! 😱 It's a pity I'm unable to attend, being on the wrong side of the globe and all 😂. But thankfully, in this age of technology, one can easily get news from anywhere around the globe. Here's a bunch of photos which were taken by other Splinterfest attendees. And boy am I excited! 🎉

The FIRST ever NEUTRAL Summoner in the game! 😱 Looks like pretty good stats. Only for Splinterfest attendees and they cost a cool $1000 each 🤑😅. At least I doubt I'll be facing too many of them in the low leagues where I play at 😉.

A teaser of the cards from Rebellion! The next Major Main expansion (like Chaos Legion) which is set to be released somewhere in the not so near future I guess? 😄

As we can see here, the art style has gone in a completely different direction. It' supposed to be a more minimalistic design. I'm still not too sure about that though. I do like some of the artwork on the current cards.

And of course, the huge project with the Major League Soccer Players Association - Genesis League Soccer! This has potential in my opinion. Sports trading cards are a multi billion dollar market. If Splinterlands can crack this, the sky's the limit here.
