My friend Heather

A good friend(Heather) who works next to me, you can see her above working on her first Steem story. Earlier today she noticed me browsing all day and explaining her was easier then any crypto backed project I've ever explained to someone! Including Bitcoin!

Adding Value (That's what Steem is about)

Remember, social media is not a “marketing channel” it’s a relationship channel. You’re dealing directly with individuals now, even if you are doing it online and in mass. Here are a few ways to provide value and usefulness, focus on doing so and you’ll get more bang for you buck in the long run:

Listen to your audience online and let them know you hear them by making change.

Don’t spam or blast out marketing messages constantly, people will become numb to them, Steem isn't any different!

Don’t “can” your messages, in social media it’s ok to have personality, in fact you should. People want to feel like there is a person at the other end of what’s coming at them.

Every time you send something out ask yourself if it’s useful. Ok, in all fairness, rules are made to be broken so a little fun quip here and there is fine but no one cares to know every time you are going to walk your dog. Other platforms like Twitter are great for that.

Target people that you are most certain will be interested.. build your brand on Steem!

Separating your content into easy-to-digest chunks and formatting for publication. Don't over abuse headings!

Steam Rewards

While authors get a 75% guaranteed reward the rest goes to the curators. Curators are users which up-vote your article.

It's really not surprising Steem is really "picking up steem". Adoption is going to surpass any crypto backed project we've ever seen before.
