Everyone doing okay? It's another wet, rainy, and gray day up here in between the farm and the beach up north of the Philippines. Definitely not helping my energy levels. Even my coffee seems tired. Most of my Filipino friends are aware that a typhoon hit our nation a few days ago and is still affecting the northern regions, including my town Elyu. Everything, including my thoughts, is depressing because it is moving very slowly. The rain was relentless, as it persisted for what seemed like days. The sky was an uncanny shade of gray, with hints of light only appearing in the late hours of the evening. As the heavy downpour continued, everything in sight seemed to have remained soaked; plants and flowers alike surrendered to the rainfall that seemed endless. Everywhere you went, it just poured and poured with no end in sight. Gardens filled with wilted green leaves, their bright colors fading into a gloomy atmosphere surrounding them. The day was filled with gray skies and heavier rains than expected, but something about those melancholic moments still found beauty within it all. I went to bed last night past midnight, and the rain was just freaking pouring somewhat hard. I am okay with that. I like to sleep in a cold room with a bit of rain coming from a distance. I had to watch some John Wick movies, which I have seen several times. I just love that movie franchise, including Keannu Reeves himself. I think I fell asleep at half past 2 a.m. It was still raining when I got up today, around 9 a.m. The breeze was blowing hard as the trees got into the rhythm of the storm. It slowed down for a few minutes after that, and I thought I'd check my flowering plants and yard. Some of them recently began blooming, and I was concerned they would be obliterated. My marigold was the first plant that I checked. It has a few flowers already, and I'm glad it's still standing strong with them. I love marigolds because they repel mosquitoes. My shimp plants came next, and they were also in good shape. Thank God. After that, I made my way to my Buddha Belly Plant, also known as Bottle Euphorbia, Ginseng, and Physical Nuts by some. This is said to be an effective aphrodisiac, good for pain relief, swelling reduction, and snake bite detoxification. Although I have not personally tried it, its roots are also known to treat infections.I also went to check my copperleaf plant, and it has some holes in its leaves, which makes me suspect that it has been attacked by little villains again. As of this writing, it has started raining hard again. Time check: 2:50 p.m. I hope all is well with you all. ⊱ღ One love ⊱ღ @bloghound Published: May 31, 2023, 2:52 p.m. PST In between the farm and the beach Philippines (All texts, photos, and videos are my own and were taken by me unless stated otherwise; Please DO NOT Copy) Copyright @bloghound 2023.
