The brand new Nike Adapt BB smart shoes, however, have really stalled for some users with Android devices for a problematic update released a few days after their debut.

The owners involved said that following the update the two shoes can not match each other via the app, they can not use the system of "power-lacing" to tighten the lacing, nor many other features needed to make them work. In other words, the US $ 350 dollar shoes become totally useless. Some users have managed to solve the situation with the tricks that are usually used in the technology sector, but it is not clear if the trick is always working.

In some cases to restore the proper functioning of the shoes was a hard-reset, a procedure that often works to solve more or less serious problems on smartphones and tablets, and that could correspond with good abstraction to the "repairer format" in the PC environment . It is not clear whether it is possible to manually connect the shoes affected by the bug (with the physical buttons) or if the upgrade sends them totally stalled as specified by some users that speak of blocked engine.

The problem seems to derive from an old version of the software pre-installed on some of the models placed on the sales channels.
