We can't edit posts older than a month? Steemit's weird user anti-patterns :(
This is a bummer. It was already weird that we couldn't delete our own posts. (Social platform rights, 101, Steemit :( )

But I assumed that was more about "everything's in beta, we're working on it," than anything else.

But [we can't edit old posts](https://steemit.com/steemit/@deanliu/now-you-can-edit-your-old-posts-within-one-month), either? As somebody who makes a ton of mistakes when writing, this makes me really, really hesitant to post new stuff. :D

Also, part of the value of a blogging platform (which with the many Medium references I see here, it's reasonable to think Steem aspires to be), is to bring value to people coming in from search engines and finding answers to stuff they may be looking for. The world changes, so blog posts should be able to change/get updated.

What do you think is the best write-up that explains Steem's philosophy about this? Would love to check it out.
