I wouldn't have believed it, but it happened. I was at a fair. A fair was organized in the courtyard of the Romanian Peasant Museum in Bucharest. It was the most recent fair I went to, I was tempted to say it was the last fair I went to but this wording may mean that I won't see another one before I die and I really don't like that! This fair was the target of a walk through my city, a walk through the streets near the Museum of the Romanian Peasant. If you want to read the first part, this is it:: **[I can't believe it - in the city center!](https://ecency.com/hive-155530/@bluemoon/i-can-t-believe-it)** I stopped with the walk around at the entrance to the fair, because the fair presentation fits #marketfriday and @dswigle can't wait to see what else is being sold ( and bought) in this world. Romanian traditions fair, that's the name of this fair, with a nationalistic touch. Lately, more and more people have suddenly become nationalists and country lovers! I saw a young couple and decided to follow them on their way to the museum entrance... Well, I was talking about patriotism. Cool Dacic, a new concept. The Dacians are the ancestors of the Romanians, an ancient people who lived in these parts. A people who owned a lot of gold, which they mined from the Apuseni Mountains in Transylvania. Although many would say it's good to have gold, it wasn't so good... The Roman Empire was in big financial trouble and they wanted the gold of the Dacians. In the 100 ac, they conquered Dacia and took the gold, many tons of gold. The Romans stayed about a hundred years in these places and helped to form the Romanian people, the only Latin people in Eastern Europe. Although we are, now, woe is us, we can at least boast that we are related to Italy, France, Spain, Portugal. Linguistically, our languages have common roots in Latin. I feel a kind of pride in these things but I don't know why, others want to profit economically and invent all kinds of nationalistic slogans, like this "Dacic cool". The flag of the Dacians was this wolf's head with the body of a snake, a kind of dragon that managed to inflict the enemies in battle. Before I leave this historical insert, I'll tell you a kind of joke... *The Roman emperor who conquered Dacia was Trajan and the Dacian king was Decebal. During the communist period in Romania, when the government was totally against homosexuals, the party propaganda claimed, without understanding the comicality of the situation, that the Romanian people were born from Trajan and Decebal! I mean from two men, ha, ha...* Skipping over these dissertations caused by the posters on the fence of the fair, we finally arrived at the fair. To the joy of my wife, who felt money burning a hole in her pocket and didn't know how to get rid of it faster. Before moving on to the presentation of the exhibits, I would like to make a small aside about history. The building of the Museum of the Romanian Peasant, a beautiful castle was completed with new construction during communism, and here was established the museum of the Romanian Communist Party. This explains the mural you see in the picture above, with workers and proletarian air. Start searching the stalls. Right at the entrance, there is jewelry, lots of silver. Lots of old jewelry and not too expensive. To my surprise, there was no interest from the wife. I would have bought some, I like silver jewelry. Porcelain and... ... trinkets. We don't have much room in the house for more porcelain. Fortunately, my wife understands that. Clay vase. There is always a place for such objects. Even in the courtyard. Being a fair at the farmer's museum, there must be country items. Romanian folk clothing. Folk craftsmen, woodworkers. Dressed in folk costume. This is how Romanian peasants used to dress in the past. Many things can be found in such fairs. This takes time and effort and the result is that you get hungry. The organizers have thought of this and brought traditional food. Fish, pork chop, grilled cheese polenta. I like them all but this time I didn't eat them. I shy away from eating anywhere but home because of the covid. Because I got used to ending with a flower, thanks to @dswigle, I'm glad that this time I found flowers in the fair. Almost only chrysanthemums. The flowers of autumn. It has been an extremely pleasant few hours. First of all, if I hadn't seen the masks on people's faces I would have forgotten about the pandemic. I mean I felt normal. *For #marketfriday by @dswigle* ##### [HiveBloPoMo](https://ecency.com/hive-134671/@traciyork/hive-blog-posting-month-aka-hiveblopomo-starts-november-1st-2021) - Day 5
