Although I am not much of a celebrator, the carnival of Barranquilla is something that I love. The costumes, the comparsas, the makeup, the music, the parades, the colorful decorations and the joy that is lived these days in the city is something inexplicable. 

The truth is that I hadn't done a makeup for this occasion for a long time but it is inevitable not to get infected when it is something that runs through the veins of the Barranquilleros, so without further ado, here I share with you the step by step of this nice and simple makeup for Carnival.

<h5>Procedure</h5>

1️⃣ The first thing I did was to prepare my eyelid and apply a light neon tone on the inner v, in this case I used yellow, then I applied the orange in touches and then I blended carefully, with these pigments it is better to do it that way because they tend to release more powder than usual.

2️⃣ After having these two tones together, I proceeded with a darker tone for the outer side, in this case I used purple and just in the part where it cuts with the orange I applied the fuchsia to make it look degraded and blurred.

3️⃣ I did a black eyeliner and on top one with pastel yellow eyeliner to highlight, blur the bottom with blue and green neon tones, apply mascara and ready, then I proceeded to prepare my skin and put a little glitter on the part of the cheekbones and temples to look more allusive to this celebration.

As you can see it is a pretty simple makeup to do but the result is quite nice, working with these pigments is still quite a process hahaha but I definitely enjoy it, something I usually do when I work with them is to prepare my eyes first and then the face. Aunque no sea mucho de celebrar estas fechas, el carnaval de Barranquilla es algo que me encanta. El tema de los trajes, las comparsas, el maquillaje, la música, los desfiles, las decoraciones coloridas y la alegria que se vive estos días por la ciudad es algo inexplicable. 

La verdad es que tenía tiempo que no me hacía un maquillaje para esta ocasión pero es inevitable no contagiarse cuando es algo que corre por las venas de los Barranquilleros, así que sin más, por aquí les comparto el paso a paso de este lindo y sencillo maquillaje para Carnaval.

<h5>Procedimiento</h5>

1️⃣ Lo primero que hice fue preparar mi párpado y aplicar en la v interna un tono Neón claro, en este caso use el amarillo, luego aplique el naranja a toques y luego difumine con cuidado y es que con estos pigmentos es mejor hacerlo de esa manera ya que al ser sueltos tienden a soltar más polvo de lo usual.

2️⃣ Luego de tener esos dos tonos unidos, procedí con un tono más oscuro para la v externa, en este caso use el morado y Justo en la parte donde corta con el naranja aplique el fucsia para que se viera degradado y difuminado. 

3️⃣ Me realicé un delineado negro y encima uno con delineador amarillo pastel para que resaltara, difumine la parte inferior con tonos azul y verde Neón, aplique pestañina y listo, luego procedí a prepararme la piel y a ponerme un poco de glitter en la parte de los pómulos y la sien para que se viera más alusivo a esta celebración.

Como pueden ver es un maquillaje bastante sencillo de hacer pero el resultado es bastante bonito, trabajar con estos pigmentos sigue siendo todo un proceso jajaja pero sin duda me lo disfruto, algo que suelo hacer cuando trabajo con ellos es preparar primero mis ojos y por último el rostro.
