***Dear steemit friends***, *I am going to KISS this article* as much as possible. What has "*kiss*" got to do here? Don't worry, I'm just going to Keep It Short and Simple. It's few days to Christmas. Everyone is celebrating. Gifts flying around from A to B But the question is ***what are you celebrating***? That takes me back to the title of this post. It's all about asking yourself just three questions only : * ***Where was I?***. * ***Where am I?***. * ***Where would I be?***. It is no new thing that January will come and go, December will not stop to follow. But what comes and goes with them is what matters and which is worth celebrating? Nigeria gained independence in the October 1, 1960. Here October is very familiar to us. We experience it every year but one we will never see again is year 1960. One of the achievements of that year is the ***Independence*** that was recorded. Year 2017 is about to pass onto space, so let's ask ourselves those three aforementioned questions, and proper evaluation to see if we can point out a record of success. ***Where were you***? For you to evaluate properly, it is important you know where you started. The position you were in January 2017. Your previous success or failure record carried forward into 2017, write them down. ***Where are you***? Make in tabular form, into three column, the first observation up there. Then in column two, note down notable differences between where you were and where you are. Is there any step forward or backward between the two hypotheses? Write them down. What have you achieve? ***Where will you be*** After evaluation, obviously you will have a result to tell you your current position in the phases of life. If you can't find a significant success record, undoubtedly it is an indication of poor or no planning and/or excellent execution in the previous and current years. Christians celebrate the birth of Jesus Christ every year. This is a great achievement in the history of man and the presence of God. What do you have to celebrate? Take a time out to measure your success against failure. You know it. You need no one to tell you this. Don't forget that failure is a step to success. In fact it is a paramount one. Every successful man had for once or more failed in an attempt to climb the ladder. Don't be discouraged when you have only recorded failure. It's a chance for you to restrategize and improve on your past efforts. If you record success, don't relent. Work towards excellence. You will get the best of you do it better. ***Wishing y'all a happy celebration ahead***. *All images are from pixabay.com* ***@bob-elr***
