Allium cepa scientific name of onion
A brief summary of the history of the onion.
Studies have indicated West Asia and North Africa as possible birthplaces of this vegetable, specifically in areas of Persia, India or Egypt, respectively. The first vestiges of human consumption go back to these last two countries, more than 5,000 years ago.

Considering that there are many things that we can do in our homes and publicize the importance of gardening at home, and to educate, in a way to cultivate ecologically without any chemicals, there are also several people who have their techniques remember that the Onion, it is a cultivation of several centuries that is cultivated, it is necessary to consider where one lives to give it the proper care.

Then you will give a series of advice to cultivate in a simple and practical way without need of seed but by means of bulb:

• From the onion that we buy in the supermarket, we make a cross section about 2 cm from the root upwards.

• After we have the bulb we place it in a container with water so that the roots are activated and re-developed. It is not recommended to sow directly, because some cases, due to the damp, the bulbs and roots also rot.

• After germinating or re-sprouting the onion of 7 days of development, the roots are strong to withstand the transplant to our garden.

• The recommended soil type is loamy and sandy soils, well drained; with its respective fertilizer to have good development, since it is a crop that likes to be in full sun of the day, so that they consider it the time to sow.

• Need little irrigation and keep free of the weeds so that it does not take away the nutrients it needs.

• The harvest time after the crop is planted is 4 months.

Greetings to the entire steemit community.
