*Host: Stefan Molyneux ( @stefan.molyneux ) Guest: [Dr Patrick Moore](http://ecosense.me/) Date: 26 September 2014* https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pbgcyW-MqtY [Youtube link](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pbgcyW-MqtY) Out of the whole discussion I was able to detect only one point that I believe to be outright erroneous. That was when Dr Moore stated that there were only 58 fatalities attributed to the [Chernobyl nuclear disaster](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Chernobyl_disaster) as those were direct fatalities and , according to him, no heightened mortality was observed afterwards in the population affected by the fallout. Studies, including this one: [The Chernobyl accident — an epidemiological perspective](https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC3107017/) seem to decisively indicate otherwise. But regardless his overarching point - that Chernobyl was a result of massive negligence and does not reflect negatively on the nuclear power industry as a whole - still stands. I find the discussion quite interesting and relevant and highly recommend you watch it.
