Beautiful Birds Around The World - Part #11 (Last Part)
#### Hey everyone!

#### This is part #11 of my bird photo series.

#### I took these photos during our trip around the world in 2014.

#### I have lots of bird photos, so I'm gonna split them up into several posts!

#### I can't remember exactly where all the photos were taken, and I'm not sure if I named all the birds correctly.

#### Please, feel free to help me or correct me if I made any mistakes!

#### Do we have any eager birdwatchers here?

#### Which bird in these photos is your favorite?

### Pelican facts:

#### - There are eight species of pelicans and can be found on all continents except for Antarctica.

#### - Average life span in the wild is 10 to 25 years.

#### - The wingspan can range from 2 to 3.6 meters.

#### - Pelicans are social birds and typically travel in flocks.

#### - They eat fish mainly. Other than that, they can also eat turtles, crustaceans and tadpoles. Very hungry pelicans will even attack and eat seagulls.

#### - Pelicans often hunt cooperatively. They will splash the surface of the water with their wings to force the fish toward the shallow water where they will scoop it easily with their bills.

#### - Pelicans do not store fish in their pouch, but simply use it to catch them and then tip it back to drain out water and swallow the fish immediately.

#### - They nest in colonies in trees, bushes, or on the ground, depending on the species.

#### - Females will usually lay 1 to 3 eggs. Incubation period lasts between 28 and 36 days.
