#### Hey everyone!

#### This is part #9 of my bird photo series.

#### I took these photos during our trip around the world in 2014.

#### I have lots of bird photos, so I'm gonna split them up into several posts!

#### I can't remember exactly where all the photos were taken, and I'm not sure if I named all the birds correctly. Especially this time I had a hard time identifying the birds. 

#### Please, feel free to help me or correct me if I made any mistakes!

#### Do we have any eager birdwatchers here?

#### Which bird in these photos is your favorite?

#### My own favorite is the Great blue heron, just because it is such a weird looking bird.

#### Some Great blue heron facts:
#### - It is the largest North American heron.
#### - It has a height of 115–138 cm.
#### - A wingspan of 167–201 cm.
#### - A weight of 1.82–3.6 kg.
#### - The primary food for great blue heron is small fish, though it is also known to opportunistically feed on a wide range of shrimp, crabs, aquatic insects, rodents, and other small mammals, amphibians, reptiles, and birds, especially ducklings.
#### - Herons locate their food by sight and usually swallow it whole.
#### - They have been known to choke on prey that is too large.
#### -  Individuals usually search for food while standing in water, but also feed in fields or drop from the air, or a perch, into water.
#### - The female lays three to six, pale blue eggs, incubated around 27 days. Males incubate for about 10.5 hours of each day, while females usually incubate for the remainder of each day and the night.
