##### I'm fortunate enough to have a beautiful lake very close to my home. The lake has now been frozen for a while and the ice is in pretty good shape for ice skating. A couple of days ago I went out on the lake with my father to enjoy the nice weather and also to get some fresh air.

##### My father decided to take the kick sled and I chose ice skates. I have always liked ice hockey so I took my hockey stick and puck with me.

##### The lake itself is about 7 kilometers (4.35 miles) long, 1.3 kilometers (0.81 miles) wide on the widest point, at its deepest, 15.4 meters (50.5 feet) deep.

##### After a while, we stopped for a break. It's nice to drink something warm when it's cold outside!

##### Days like these I enjoy very much! As long as it's possible I will try to skate every day. Spring is coming, so it's just a matter of time before it's too late!
