Deep green sparks fell in the afternoon light, but Hank found himself more concerned with the man who no longer needed crutches. A father he has always called him, checking him up every morning to take his coffee, he remembered it was this same coffee that brought them together. Just one coffee, and a lifetime of friendship was formed.

Though he loved reading papers of any kind, so far it's a printed something, he moves and shakes his body at the comprehension of poetry, he so much loved it that his much talked addiction to the Sun newspaper was because of a column there that constantly shuns out good poetry and ranks them, giving the reader too an opportunity to vote for their best poem. A kind of feedback from both the reader and the writer.

One was the dirge of all dirge, and it goes thus :

Imagine yourself
over the top of your home
Sipping the morning coffee
Hoping time will pass
Touching the grey beards
Reminiscing on the lost childhood.

.

Look, son, look,
It passeth, no man knows it not
Dirge of all dirge are we
Man groan as his time passeth him.

When I called to check in with him a couple of months ago, he told me how touched he was about making some good music with those lyrics in the papers, I reluctantly digressed him out of it, what would an old man like his do with music, it's not a plain chant of an orthodox hymn. So who would listen to such in a world dominated by wacky entertainers and DJs.

I made it known to him the world we live in never cared about good music with good lyrics anymore, we now opt for beats, synthesizers and wacks.

I should have made him do the music thing, he left us alone and went his way home yesterday.
