##
This Week’s Accountability Report
______

_______ ### Exercise: *Seven out of Seven days* ### Weight: *76.9 kg* ## It’s almost October As September comes to a close, I’m very happy to look back and see that I have exercised for at least 15 minutes or more on every day of this month except one. Looking back a little further, I can see that this streak began in August. I have now exercised for 15 minutes or more on 41 of the last 42 days, and that is something I feel really great about! Nine months ago, when I began focusing on becoming more active, it was such an effort to get up in the morning and be productive. It felt like a huge challenge to fit even 15 minutes of exercise into my day. Now, being consciously active and physically focused has become a part of me. It is habitual. My body yearns for movement. And, as a result, it is much easier to get up early and exercise consistently. _______ ##### *(Over these nine months, my wife has also come to recognize how important exercise is to me and has become wonderfully supportive of me. Not only has the habit of exercise embedded itself in my sub-consciousness, my fitness needs have also found their way into my wife’s consciousness. She now asks if I want/need thirty minutes to run, walk, or go to the gym, etc. Without this support, much of the progress that I feel I am making would not have been possible. As a result, I am extremely grateful for her understanding and consideration.)* ______ Recently, the mornings have become quite dark and, occasionally, a little cold. Rainy mornings have also become more common. Because of the rain, I haven’t been able to just strap on my arm weights and walk out the door first thing in the morning as often as I would like. This has had me searching for a new morning exercise routine, one that I can do inside my house without making much noise (I don’t want to wake everyone up). As a result, I have been revisiting yoga a little recently, and am planning to buy a 10 kg kettle ball to begin working out with. Part of my success, I think, has been in finding an easy morning exercise routine that doesn’t take too much thought and that works for me. Moving into colder, darker, wintry months, I am thinking that I would like to start my mornings with some light strength training exercises and stretching (yoga poses). Additionally, I have increased the amount of water that I drink right after waking up from one cup to three and have started doing some deep breathing exercises to oxygenate my body and my brain. According to Jim Kwik, the key to stimulating your brain in the morning (so that you can concentrate better and be more alert throughout the day) is hydrating it, oxygenizing it, and stimulating it through physical movement. So, that is what I am trying to do almost as soon as I wake up: hydrate, breathe, and move. ##
How about all of you?
