Binance announced Tuesday that it is launching a public blockchain to facilitate the creation of a new decentralized exchange. Binance’s vision that “centralized and decentralized exchanges will co-exist in the near future, complementing each other” inspired them to develop the Binance Chain, which will be used for the transfer and trading of Blockchain assets.

The price of the exchange's BNB token is up more than 25 percent on the news.


* **National Blockchain Standards Take Shape In China**

The Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT) has directed one of its subdivisions to conduct a "special study". China will use the study to form a steering committee called the National Blockchain and Distributed Accounting Technology Standardization Technical Committee. The committee aims to "actively promote related work, accelerate the establishment of the standardization committee, and better serve the development of the blockchain technology industry."

China is looking to have more controls in place, possibly before a reintroduction to ICO’s. This could position China well for the growing digital landscape of the 21st century.

The Coinbase wallet and exchange service has fixed a bug in the payment gateway system which caused users to lose their funds from Bitcoin transactions via the platform. The bug seems to be related to the recent launch of SegWit support. A Coinbase spokesperson stated that the issue has affected less than 30 customers and has been immediately fixed.

Digital payments company Circle has officially launched its digital investment and storage app, Circle Invest. Circle is backed by investments from Goldman Sachs. The company released the product for download via Apple's App Store or Google Play on Tuesday in 46 states, excluding Minnesota, Wyoming, Hawaii and New York.

The app allows users to invest or trade bitcoin, ethereum, bitcoin cash, ethereum classic and litecoin, with more tokens coming in the future. According to their announcement, the app provides “… no minimums, instant deposits, no commissions on a variety of coins, performance tracking and more -- we've made it fast, cheap and simple to invest in crypto and digital assets, and we are only just getting started."
