SAFT = simple agreements for future tokens
The recent subpoenas sent out by the SEC targeting ICOs has investors worried that SAFTs may be next. SAFT is “a broad concept that explains how token issuers could remain on the right side of securities laws when issuing what basically amounts to coupons for tokens at a future date when the platform they are used on is complete”.

However, this is just pure speculation at this point in time and things are not moving quickly in this direction. As such, investors shouldn't feel the effects of the probe for some time.

A member of China’s top political advisory board has proposed the creation of a national cryptocurrency exchange and other regulatory systems at one of the two annual sessions of China's top legislative and advisory bodies.

Wang Pengjie, а member of the Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC), suggested that the People’s Bank of China (PBOC) and the China Securities Regulatory Commission (CSRC) should create a Blockchain and digital asset management “approval system,” as well as raised the possibility of establishing a digital asset trading platform at a national level.

What this means is that since the ICO ban in China from September of last year, China is possibly ready to take steps to re-enter the blockchain and cryptocurrency ecosystem.

One could say that bitcoin price has been relatively stable for the past 2 weeks. This has caused investors to step to the side. Faster and cheaper Bitcoin transactions appear to interest investors less than overall trading potential.
