0.000 HBDHF26 Fallout: None?

------------- None... Okay, virtually none, at least from an end user standpoint. I would have to say in the nearly five years that I have been on this blockchain, this might possibly be the smoothest hardfork I have ever went through. Of course, the witnesses and developers might feel a little differently. I think I read a post the other day talking about nodes not coming back up right away and taking a bit of time to catch up, but as far as I am concerned, the impact was negligible at best. My hats off to everyone involved in creating, pushing out, and implementing this hardfork. Your work is impeccable! Shortly after 9:00 AM EST when the hardfork went life I sat at my desk and I had https://hiveblocks.com open. I made some comments, played some Splinterlands, and kept refreshing the page to see how it would impact my RC. Thankfully, I think I have enough staked that the impact is pretty insignificant. I think it will only be some of those newer accounts that have trouble with RC. I look forward to seeing what the different teams can come up with regards to RC leasing and delegation. I think it is going to be pretty awesome. If I had one negative to take away from this whole thing, it would be auto-votes. I know, I know, this is a touchy subject in the first place. Many people frown on auto-votes and feel that manual curation is the only route. Others rely solely on auto-votes and do very little in the way of manual curation. Mostly you see the latter with larger accounts that have been on the platform for six or seven years. With Hive.vote (arguably the largest auto-vote service on the chain) down in preparation for the hardfork, many people who chose to post anyway were left high and dry. Personally, I have zero problem with auto-votes. I think it is a great tool and I have made it a point to find a balance between using the service and doing manual curation. What I find disappointing is how this "outage" brought to light just how little manual curation there is on the chain. I know some people who purposely opted not to post over the past couple of days because they needed or wanted those auto-votes. I made the decision to post anyway, but my rewards were clearly a fraction of what I usually make on my posts. Looking back, my posts usually garner about 200 upvotes per post. That's on average. You can see my post came in at 4x less upvotes just shy of 50. That's kind of not cool, and that isn't even looking at the vote value aspect. I understand many people follow curation trails. Those are a great tool for passive income and absolutely in your rights to use them. It's just a little sad to see how little manual voting is happening. Kudos to groups like @appreciator and users like @trafalgar who clearly are doing manual curation. Without their votes (and several others), the post rewards on my last two posts would have been pretty sad (relatively speaking). Like I said, I am not opposed to auto-votes. I think it is a really great tool when used meticulously and with care. I think it benefits the whole chain when we can find a balance between that and manual curation. I made it a point to do some extra manual curation yesterday because I knew people wouldn't be getting those auto-votes. Quite honestly, despite my balance, I need to make a point of doing more of that. There are so many great people out on the chain. They deserve the love to be spread around as much as possible. How did you think the hardfork went? Did you notice any issues? Did you try to do some extra manual curation over the last couple of days? Let's talk about it in the comments. ----------
### [Sports Talk Social - @bozz.sports](https://www.sportstalksocial.com/@bozz.sports)
----------

----------
*All pictures/screenshots taken by myself or @mrsbozz unless otherwise sourced*
