0.000 HBDHow To Create And Use Lists On INLEO
First things first. I have a great proposition, or opportunity, for all the non-Hive & INLEO users at the end of this post so don't forget to check that out! Now to the actual topic, I have been subscribing to the [INLEO](https://inleo.io/signup?referral=brando28) **Premium** for almost two weeks now and my general feeling is that the 10 HBD spent on it is well worth it. New features are rolled out frequently and the team is constantly tackling any possible glitches. With Premium, I'm also earning more $HIVE & $LEO rewards even though it's difficult to tell if it's because of the increased visibility or just because I've been pretty excited about the new features and therefore increased my own activity. Perhaps it's a bit of both. Not all of the Premium features are live yet but I'm really enjoying those that are. As a short-form guy, I immediately found my home on Threads once it went live but quickly noticed I wasn't *that* short-form as I soon hit the character limitation wall. **Longer Threads** is one of my favourite features as I don't have to constantly plan the length of my threads or how many sub-threads I would need to divide it. Besides that, I find one other INLEO feature really interesting - Lists. It's a feature I haven't yet seen many users adopting but it's also one that has so much potential and can be very useful in filtering the most relevant content. Also, I can imagine users coming up with all sorts of creative ways to use the list feature in the future once the user base starts growing and the main feed flow becomes too rapid-paced. At the moment perhaps one of the most obvious ways to use this feature is to add your favourite users to the same list or to create multiple lists and segment users based on the topics they mostly write about. So how to create one? Let's find out! *** ### Step-by-Step Guide for Creating a List Creating a **[Splinterlands](https://splinterlands.com?ref=brando28)** list is something I've thought about recently since there are users who frequently post SPL content and it would be nice to quickly find the relevant posts, "curated", under the same feed. You might ask, instead of creating a list, why not just read community posts? If I were to read the SPL community feed, I would see all the posts with the #splinterlands tag. With Lists, I can filter out the shill posts for example by adding only members who constantly post some more in-depth stuff that I find interesting. #### Adding Members To Our List First, click the three dots (1.) and choose 'Lists'. Then click that little '+' icon on the top right (2.). Now you get this pop-up window where you can add the thumbnail image of your list. 300 x 300 seems to be the minimum while I added a 500 x 500 Splinterlands PNG logo. Then the title and description. Next, we need to define what kind of content there is going to be on our list feed. That happens by adding **members**. In this case, I want to add accounts I remember producing quality Splinterlands-related threads and @spt-bitcoinflood here is clearly an account focusing on putting out SPL content. The actual adding to the list is done by clicking those three little dots on the top right corner of one of the threads made by the user and then choosing 'Add to Lists' from the dropdown menu. After that, I also added @rtonline, another account focusing on SPL content. Now I can easily access my newly created list on the main top menu and read the latest threads made by these two members. By the time of writing this article, this is still a function that hasn't yet gone live on the [production side](https://inleo.io/signup?referral=brando28) but can be tested on [Labs](https://labs.leofinance.io/). I would guess it should be out very soon though. One thing worth mentioning is that I didn't mark this list as 'private' meaning anyone can start following it. Making lists public is a great way to let others know about some good topics and quality authors. As the platform grows, the Lists feature is also going to be a great way to discover new content and will probably save us some time too! *** ### Referral List In addition to the SPL list and my **Trading** list which I created earlier, I've come up with a whole new idea on how to utilize the Lists feature. Not long ago I noticed there was a referral link added to our Settings page and since I'm still at zero referrals, I thought it was time to do something about it. The idea is very simple, if you use my referral link to join [INLEO](https://inleo.io/signup?referral=brando28) I will then add you to my Referral List and will be upvoting your content daily! Referral rewards are mentioned on the UI but the reason why I'm doing this is to make new connections and friends. For me, short-form content, or microblogging is more suitable than long-form posts when it comes to engaging with other users or keeping in touch with friends. On INLEO the upvote rewards are distributed 50/50 between the curator and author so eventually, it'll be a win-win for both of us. Besides, INLEO really is the place to be on the whole wide Web3! ๐ *** ### Conclusion With more and more users, the Lists feature will be more useful, if not even essential. I hope the team develops it further by introducing options to customize lists with, for example, letting us use tags to define the content we see on the feed. In my opinion, this would be a game changer in finding new interesting content and users. So, if you are thinking about joining the INLEO journey, consider using my ref link and be upvoted! Just click [here](https://inleo.io/signup?referral=brando28) or the INLEO logo below. As for you who are already using INLEO, I hope you found this inspirational and get excited about lists and Premium too. Remember, HBD used for subscriptions is used to buy HIVE and LEO so it'll eventually benefit the whole ecosystem.
