My Afternoon Video Blog/Vlog- This Might Be a "Smelly" Subject But It's Something We Really Need To Talk About!

Could Your deodorant be making you sick? I'm not here to say that it is or it isn't. But I can speak about my personal views on the matter and how I have found an alternative that has worked for me.

These days, more and more people are suffering from liver damage due to the medications they take, the foods they may eat, and the not so pure environment that we may live in on this planet.

The last thing we need is to potentially make matters worse by using well known substance on a daily basis that could be damaging our liver function.

Studies are suggesting that routine use of Propylene Gycol may impact your overall liver health and function. When I read the ingredients on the label of most deodorants, I find this specific ingredient to be present.

Of course, there are other chemicals that deodorants contain but that one seems to most concern me for so many reasons....It also appears to be a neuro-toxin, which is definitely something that should be avoided, as well!

So what have I been using? Baking Soda!๐Ÿ˜Ž
 That's right.... Sodium Bicarbonate. But only in very small quantities because a little dab will do in this case. I use about a quarter teaspoon or so and it seems to do the trick. I also try to avoid clumping it together, but rather, I try to evenly appropriate it over the entire armpit region.

I thought this was an interesting link from the Mit website on the use of Baking Soda as a deodorant and for other things, too....

Lastly, I'm not about to say that you should stop using your deodorant or that you should even start using Baking Soda instead. Obviously, you have to do your own due diligence when considering such matters. 

Additionally, there are other alternatives as well, such as deodorants that might be more natural and available as the health food store.

With all that being said, I do think it's important that we think about the possible hidden dangers because sometimes those are the most difficult to pick up on.
