Hi friends, This post is an entry into the weekly contest of @socalsteemit where we show what California means to us. This is a picture I snapped at Big Bear Lake:  This lake a popular getaway spot for Californians, as it is about 110 miles from Los Angeles. It is located in the San Bernardino Mountains and has an elevation of over 6,000 feet. The lake is completely snow fed and is the main attraction in the summer - in wintertime, the ski slopes are extremely popular. The fishing in the lake is decent, and anglers primarily target trout and bass. The lake is quite long - about 7 miles, and attracts boats, sailboats and kayak/canoers. Big Bear Lake is a great place to relax and get away from the hustle and bustle of Southern California. Thanks for stopping by today! Brian
