Hi Friends,

One of the coins I have held for a long time is Cardano (ADA), and I believe my first purchase was near $1 in late 2017/early 2018.  I held for years while the coin dropped all the way down to $0.08, and was actually getting excited about the project about this time last year, as the highly anticipated smart contract launch was approaching.  Here is a two year chart:

Unfortunately, the Cardano has been a disappointment.  Their smart contract platform has not had the momentum nor development they were anticipating (and that everyone was hyping) and there are many other projects out there that are able to scale faster - they were too slow and cautious in building out their platform in the fast paced crypto market. 

The utility of their token is also not as enticing as other projects - why buy and stake ADA for a 5% return, when you can just buy a stable coin and stake it almost anywhere and get much better returns.  Unfortunately, Cardano had many YouTubers and Crypto Twitter users hyping/pumping the coin so anybody buying in the last year has been left holding the bag on the people who got in at $0.10 over the few years before this.  This feels like a zero sum coin, and I wish I had dumped at $4+ when I had the chance.  I am glad I didn't buy the hype and add like I was thinking of doing - many YoutTubers were saying you only needed 10,000 ADA (when it was $1.50) to become a crypto millionaire - sounds enticing to put $15k in and get to $1M, but it is not going to happen with Cardano.
