Hi friends, This post is an entry into weekly contest of @socalsteemit where we show our California. The Huntington is a fantastic facility located in San Marino, California. The Huntington is a great cultural institution - housing a library with more than 400,000 rare books, an art exhibit that features world class collections, and a botanical gardens that spans 120 acres. The gardens and buildings are top notch and there are few comparisons to the caliber of the organization. Membership is expensive, and there are many private events at the facilities. Every once in a while, the public can get in free with out a membership on a special day, which is how we got in the other day. Having kids, we steered clear of the rare books and fine art, and stuck to the gardens, exploring the vast property. There are various ponds, flower gardens and a special Chinese Garden section that is especially great.
