Every season is another opportunity to earn at MoonKarts. The season lasts 10 days and there's so much more you can do with this. The world of Moon Karts brings more than just fast-paced racing—it's a thoughtfully designed play‑to‑earn economy built to reward dedication, skill, and smart strategy. At its core, earnings hinge on four pillars: skill, time invested, quality of your NFTs, and staked COLONY governance tokens. A player excelling across all fronts naturally outpaces others; miss just one, and you’ll find yourself trailing behind.

Each day, a fixed supply of COLONY tokens—courtesy of Arcade Colony—flows into various reward pools:

- Orbitals Pool (40%)
- Ranking Pool (25%)
- On‑track COLONY pickups (10%)
- Referral Pool (5%)
- Seasonal Rewards Pool (20%)

The Seasonal Rewards Pool is especially compelling—a cumulative payout pooled over a 10‑day cycle, distributed based on leaderboard standings. This mechanism champions long-term consistency, rewarding not just blazing finishes but sustained excellence.

Players can earn COLONY in three main ways during races:

- Collect tokens on track and finish with them—drop them, lose the race, and they vanish.
- Climb the ELO-based leaderboards, which split daily and seasonal rewards according to rank
- Gather Orbitals on the track, boosted by top‑tier NFTs; Orbitals too feed into their own daily and seasonal leaderboards

The Referral rewards program is not live yet. The team has paused the Referral rewards for the game and I'm still not sure when they will be making it live.
