I've been so excited about all of the new developments surrounding the *Steem* ecosystem lately. I took a few moments to hop into *Photoshop* and create **my** vision of the future.

### Multiple Formats, Singular Blockchain

*Steepshot* (https://steemit.com/@steepshot) and *Zappl* (https://steemit.com/@zappl) are gearing up to be wonderful additions to *Steem*. (For those who haven't seen information on them yet, check 'em out!) One concern that will need to be addressed is the filtering of content as all of these formats mix on the blockchain. We won't want to see *Steemit* get overwhelmed with snapshots and microblogging in the present feed structure.

I'd love to see *Steemit* embrace the design formats of these side projects and integrate them into the site, so that we have a one stop home on the web for multiple sites, while keeping things as clean and elegant as possible. (*Facebook* is an abomination of design and usability!) This could take the form of plugins, or it could simply be *Steemit* utilizing tag filtering to style content into the different formats and areas. I'd hate to see developers hurt by this though, so they should be included in the process, and full functionality of their respective applications should be reserved for their home sites/apps. If they are using the reward split feature for funding, this will be critical.

### Advertising - We Can Improve on Promoted; and Keep it Classy

Lastly, in my dream design I've placed one tasteful ad spot. Users could use it to link to a page or post of their own if they want to highlight or promote a new project or initiative. Alternatively they could sell the ad space to others directly or through a new, better thought out promoted post/promoted blog system that runs as an exchange through *Steemit*!

### Timecapsule This, Until 2018!

I know that *Steemit* has web developers hard at work behind the scenes readying for a 2.0 and a much better experience. This post is by no means a complaint! I just wanted to get down on digital paper a possible path. If this prompts a new idea then the suggestion was worth it, and if it's already in the works then it'll be neat to see how close my prediction is 6 months to a year from now.

All I know is I'll **still** be here in that far flung future!
