MuseScore gives us options for adding key signatures as well as transposing within you scores. # Learn how to create and edit key signatures in MuseScore Key signatures can be found in the Pallettes window to the left of MuseScore. All the standard key signatures are there. To add a key signature you need to drag and drop the key onto the beginning of the piece of music. From this point you can click on the key and use the Inspector window to the right to make further edits.

# Learn how to make multiple key changes within a score You can add new key signatures to your score by dragging a new key to any point of the score you wish. Note: Inserting a new key will not actually transpose the piece of music. MuseScore will automatically adjust the accidentals to keep the pitches as they were written.

# Learn how to use the transpose function within a score To transpose a piece of music or a portion of a piece you need to use the Transpose function. This can be found in the upper menu under Notes -> Transpose. Before selecting transpose you need to select the portion of music you wish to transpose. You can do this by left-clicking on the first note of the section, holding shift and clicking the last note of the selection. Now go to the Transpose menu. You will be presented with a Transpose window where you can make numerous selections related to your transpose function.

MuseScore2 is an open source application, which means that it is free for everyone to use.
