The last few days I’ve been tinkering with building a **Discord Interface** for the **Silver Gold Stackers Community Curation Project** otherwise known as **Precious the Silver Mermaid**.  It’s a bit of an experiment but I have got her running successfully in my **Test Environment** at home and I plan to deploy  her into **Production** very soon if she passes all the Tests.

To start with she is being set up with 2 primary command functions.  The first is the **/raffle** command which takes a single number as a required parameter.  This function generates a random number between (and including) 1 and the number provided as a parameter.  It’s intended to serve the (hopefully) upcoming **Monster Raffle Fundraiser** and pull out the winning ticket numbers.  This function can also be used by any members who want to run their own raffles.

The second is the **/status** command which takes a HIVE username as the required parameter.  This function accesses the Database for Precious and does a few calculations to return a detailed status for the member such as their **Sponsorship Tier, Accumulated Vote Charge** and if the member has a **Precious Gem**.  It’s intended to help and encourage members with their posting content and frequency on the HIVE blockchain.  With any luck it’ll also reduce confusion and help educate new (and old) members about how the SGS Curation Project is functioning.

There are some other ideas out there for functions that could be added to Precious the Discord Bot in the future and by all means if you want to drop any suggestions in the comments below they could be worth considering for future development.  For now the 2 functions detailed above are a good place to start.  They will hopefully improve both the Discord and HIVE experience for SGS Members as Precious the Discord Bot should provide a good link between the two platforms.
