The number of user errors have dropped considerably since we stopped offering refunds on user errors. They still happen occasionally and I don't like seeing anyone lose money.

There are three issues that account for 99% of the errors and they are very simple.

1) Sending less than 1 SBD
2) Sending STEEM instead of SBD
3) Sending a post older than 6-days 8-hours

If you remember these three guidelines, you shouldn't have any problems. There are a few edge cases I'd like to make awareness as well that maybe obvious, but I would like to share.

1) Forgetting memo
2) extra text in URL

This second one is important, I noticed a few memos with # or #comments at the end of the URL. I asked around and I think this might be related to DMania posts. If there is a # or #comments at the end of your memo, it will cause our system to fail validation. We are working on adding a filter to check for this and correct it automatically. It should go live soon.

I do not like not offering refunds, but with everyone using the bot tracker site it makes it difficult to offer refunds. There is also a few exploits people are using to gain very large votes from bid bots with low bids taking advantage of refunds.
