Phew what a scorcher, with the UK ramping up it’s temperature level to record highs it’s been an uncomfortable week for roasting coffee.

Last weekend was spent mostly in Newcastle for an old friends Birthday, and that went very well. No rest though straight back to work Monday and it’s been a flat out week and with continued staff shortages it’s the usual struggle to just even keep up with demand. Both roasters have been keeping busy, but I’m hoping not to have to roast too much Monday as temperatures are due to be upto 27 degrees making it incomfotably hot before you start heating up big lumps of iron with a rotating internal drum.

With blue skies and sun all this weekend, plenty of opportunity to be out in the garden but now I am burnt to a crisp!
