The Mental Side of Things - Part 4 - Stress - DAY 4 ( 30 days writing challenge)
The thing I don't like most about my brain is how easily it can get stressed, and for the past couple of days, because I had ( and still have ) a lot of things to do, my stress levels went through the roof. For the first time in many years I couldn't fall asleep during the night and had to resort to linden tee to finally get some shut-eye. That sent alarm bells ringing and after things calm down I'll have to analyse what this all means in the long term.

In the next few days I'll have to pause the nutrition series because I won't be able to keep with my other stuff. So to keep the 30 days challenge going I'll write about my thoughts and my usual runs - and thus this is my fourth post of my 30 day writing challenge ( if you want to read more about this challenge you check out this [post](https://steemit.com/steemit/@dragosroua/let-s-start-2018-with-a-bang-join-me-in-a-30-days-writing-challenge-during-january) ). I'm a bit disappointed that I'm not sticking to the original writing schedule, but the research on the nutrition series takes a big chunk of my spare time because I double check every little bit of information I put in there ( I don't want to misguide or write something that is simply not true).

But at least I think I'm keeping the core of the challenge in mind and posting everyday, that's the mindset that the challenge promotes. And I'm not going to give up and fail the challenge no matter what.

As much as I like the saying "failure is always an option" I feel that there are times where more is at stake than at first sight. And this is definitely the case.

So I think I'll settle with a partial failure and try to keep going as best I can with posting everyday. All that remains is to get my act together and push through this not so fun period.

Take care and stay stress free :)
