Senior portraits is a tradition in the US and I'm unsure if other areas do similar. Here high school seniors get photos commemorating the transition from High School to College/careers. Kara was one of the first of the our season this summer. Every now and then, there is someone like Kara who is really just a natural in front of the camera. I actually asked if she had ever done any modeling to which she shyly smiled and said "no". Perhaps she had just spent time watching models work online, but she absolutely knew how to move and create moments in front of the camera. This makes the job of any photographer quite easy :)
