# Hello dear Steemians! I made this post not only with the intention of showing you the drawing I made about it, I have great pleasure to show you and tell you about this famous artist, Marilyn Monroe, one of the most desired women in history for her great beauty. As I will show the process of the drawing, I will leave you some of your phrases and a little about its history. >"First, I am trying to prove to myself that I am a person, then I will convince myself that I am an actress." (In Ms. Magazine, August 1972) ##
A little about Marilyn Monroe
Marilyn Monroe, of real name Norma Jean Baker (or Norma Jean Mortenson, surname of her stepfather), was born on June 1, 1926 in Los Angeles, in the US state of California. She was an actress, singer and model who was followed by millions of people around the world, her incredible beauty and photogenicity managed to position her as the greatest sexual symbol in the history of the show, and to this day is among the largest female artists of all time and is seen as an icon of the seventh art. Despite being an artist, many called her "the saddest woman in the world" and that all that glamor and all that beauty apparently did not make her a happy person. #
Death
On August 5, 1962, at age 36, the psychiatrist Dr. Greenson announced that Marilyn Monroe had died in her house naked in her bed, Monroe was found without dying her blond hair for weeks, without plucking, without teeth (she used a denture) and with the neck bruised and swollen: as they relate, they could not almost recognize that the body that lay battered, naked and aged was that of the incredible Norma Jean Baker. It ended by saying that he died of an overdose of barbiturates in unclear circumstances, it could have been by suicide or by an error of his psychoanalyst, who argued that it was necessary for Marilyn to take medicines, however there is evidence to show that it was a real murder, in which the main suspects are the Kennedys. Even the police report described the cause as "Probable suicide" for lack of evidence. The story of Marilyn Monroe is incredible, if you do not know her you should look for more detailed information about this beautiful woman and know the history of this great character that is nowadays well known. "I am a mixture between the simple and the complex, but I learned to understand myself." (In The Saturday Evening Post, May 1956) ## Materials • Bond paper sheet • HB pencil • Pen 3B • Pen 6B • Draft ##
Drawing and procedures
*
I started to draw his eyes and his nose
  * I added his mouth * Draw a silhouette of what your hair and body would look like. * I added the shadows and the lights on his face. * I started to draw his hair. * I started painting his clothes and shading his body. "I would like to prove that I can get publicity without having to show my ass or be fired from a movie." (Interview with Lawerence Schiller, 1960). #
¡Finished!
"I dress for men, a woman sees your clothes to criticize her, a man appreciates her." (In LIFE, April 1962). Well Steemians, I hope you liked the content, you can leave your opinions in the comments, I will read them and I will gladly answer, I say goodbye with this phrase of the amazing and beautiful Marilyn Monroe. > ### "Being afraid is stupid, like repenting."
