Hello friends and travel lovers, I know what to visit a great city like Seville (Spain) in an afternoon due to the multitude of magical and special places that it presents. However, I would like to share with you a small plan of places of interest that you can visit in this city and that I did in about 5 hours. As I left work around 15h and was eager to explore the impressive city of Seville, after having a hamburger for lunch at the hotel and a few minutes rest around 17h I left my hotel which was near the football stadium of Real Betis Balompié and went to the city centre and as you can see the city was splendid with a multitude of flowers as it was springtime. ## Maria Luisa Park My first big stop during my tour of the city of Seville was the Maria Luisa Park, which is one of the largest green spaces in the city, where I discovered many striking and charming places along the park. I entered the park through the southern entrance. In this area there are many historical buildings in the vicinity, many of them with the names of countries on the outside. This made me look for information about them and I discovered that they are pavilions of the Ibero-American exhibition of 1929 and it seems to me a luxury to have these pavilions today, knowing that in Spain a few years later there was a civil war. However, the building and setting that struck me most about this southern entrance to the park was the museum of popular arts and customs of Seville, with a magnificent fountain outside with multiple gardens where there were lots of pigeons. Don't you believe it? Look at the following photograph taken in the vicinity of this area of the park, where the popcorn stands are surrounded by pigeons, just like this fountain. After this stop with the pigeons, I continued my walk through the park, trying to take shelter from the scorching sun, contemplating the large trees and wide paths to stroll along. ### Mount Gurugú But when I was walking relaxedly, I heard the sound of water breaking as if it was a small waterfall and it was when I saw these stairs in the middle of the park that went to a high area of the park. And it was when I reached the top of the stairs that I saw an artificial waterfall emanating from one side of the stairs, and I couldn't resist trying to take a long exposure photograph of it, despite not having my tripod with me and having to trust everything to my pulse. ### Fountains, swans, ducks and more friends with feathers I then continued my stroll through María Luisa Park along its paths and came across several striking fountains. As it is composed of several frogs around it, each one of them spouting a stream of water. In addition, other large fountains or ponds decorated the surroundings on which you could see the reflection of the palm trees and other trees in the park. And in other smaller ponds I found several ducks and swans swimming in them or relaxing in their surroundings. And I say relaxing, because as you can see, this duck let me get close to him and he was totally calm, the result of the good treatment that must be given to these animals in this park. ### Bird Island A few metres away from my duck friend, I found the explanation why in this area of the park there were so many ducks, pigeons and other birds. It turns out that inside the park there is an area called the bird island where a multitude of bird species live together in harmony. ## Spanish Square With the sadness of leaving behind such a peaceful place, I continued my way through the park and it was the moment when I went to one of the most famous and photographed places of the park, not to say of Seville, and that is its majestic Spanish Square. This square is made up of two large side towers called the north tower and the south tower. In the square there is also a canal where tourists can rent a small boat and sail along the canal through this idyllic place. At the same time, walking around the square, you will find tiled benches of each province of Spain, which illustrate passages of history, illustrious characters, coats of arms and the location of each province. And as a good Asturian I share with you the bench corresponding to the province to which I belong. At the same time, during my visit I had the good fortune to hear from afar how they were telling flamenco and how they were tapping their heels, so I did not hesitate to approach and enjoy a street show of flamenco dancing and singing that was a real marvel. ## Cathedral, La Giralda and the Giraldillo (small Giraldillo) A must-see place in the city of Seville is its cathedral. The main attraction is its popular bell tower called the Giralda. It has a bronze statue that represents the Triumph of Faith and has the function of a weathervane and is popularly known as the Giraldillo. In the square nearby, whenever I go to Seville, there are a lot of people in the square taking pictures of the place and some of them even lying down on the ground, which I had to do to take a panoramic view of the whole tower from the square. ## Golden Tower After having a drink in the Plaza de la Giralda, I set out to visit the last point, a place I had written down in my diary, which was the Golden Tower, where I arrived at dusk. It was then that I decided to go to a tapas bar and have something to eat and drink something refreshing like a red of summer. But I had to interrupt my rest and move from the terrace of the bar to the road because I could not miss the opportunity to photograph the Golden Tower with the sunset in the background. And after dinner and recharge my batteries, I went back to the San Telmo bridge by taxi before returning to the hotel to photograph this beautiful view of the city of Seville. I hope you liked this trip through the city of Seville.

Own photograph taken with my Sony Alpha 6000L

Cover and separators has been created with www.canva.com (free version)

Translated with www.DeepL.com/Translator (free version).

 [//]:# (!pinmapple 37.38241 lat -5.99640 long d3scr)
