Hi everyone! I’m Jessa Marie Laborte, but feel free to call me Jess 💖 I’m a 24-year-old from the beautiful island of Cebu, Philippines, currently working as a full-time call center agent. But beyond my daily grind on the headset, I’m a woman of many passions and curiosities – always eager to explore, create, and learn something new every single day.

Finally making my first blog post on Hive, and I couldn’t be more excited! 🎉

I discovered Hive through @antonette, who I met on Facebook. She warmly introduced me to this amazing platform and patiently oriented me about how things work here. Big shout-out to her for guiding me and welcoming me into the Hive community!

🌟 Why I Joined Hive
I decided to join Hive for a simple but powerful reason: expression and connection. I’ve always loved documenting random yet meaningful moments in my life – whether it’s a solo fishing trip by the shore, a sweaty but fulfilling fun run, or a deep thought during my night shift. Hive is the perfect place to turn those stories into blogs and connect with people who appreciate them.

What attracted me most was how Hive isn’t like the usual social platforms. It’s a community-first space where quality is valued. I learned that Hive promotes authenticity, originality, and respect. You must post your own photos, avoid AI-generated content, never plagiarize, and always maintain genuine engagement. That’s what makes Hive so trustworthy and refreshing in today’s content-driven world.

Fishing is my therapy. 🎣 I have a growing collection of fishing rods, and I enjoy early mornings by the sea, waiting for that little tug on the line. There’s peace in patience.

Running gives me freedom. 🏃‍♀️ I’ve joined several fun runs here in Cebu – the vibe, the crowd, the goal, and the sweat are all part of the joy.
