I went to a nice challenging yoga class tonight. Was hot & I was moving around all day so my body felt very strong & loose. I noticed my twisted eagle was a little better than normal & I think it’s from my lazy couch practice the other night. Haven’t been able to get my foot wrapped around my other leg in class, but was playing with it laying down & I’m getting better.

If you start doing yoga everyday you may notice yourself start to want to do yoga everywhere. My friend was recently laughing at me for sitting up absurdly straight at the beach, but it made my spine feel long & back feel good so I kept peacocking 🌈

Must do both sides for balance 👇

& for an added yoga bonus, the flexibility & breathing control I’ve been building for years is translating beautifully into jiu jitsu practice. I’m a relative beginner but have a 6’6 inch frame & can put my legs above my head so my guard is already nice & hard to pass. It is a lot of fun to learn to use my old tools for new things.

& of course the jiu jitsu makes my body much stronger which makes my yoga better. These two work magically together. I’m very careful with my body so I’m going slow & steady with the jiu jitsu. I’d like to make it a lifetime sport & stay surgery free forever!
