We need to be able to know who died in care. They should not be hidden and what happened to them should not be a secret. They are victims but because of privacy laws that are spun as to protect the victims family we don't know their name we don't know what happened to them.
They were human beings and they had names.
They had family who wanted to see them grow up. 

Who does it really serve to hide the names and what happened to the kids in  are who died in Manitoba? 

How can we see these people as human beings when the truth is banned and they are just a faceless number?

Wouldn't we be better informed by knowing who died, how they died, why they died and how it could have been avoided at every level?

So I ask once more, who does it really serve to withhold the truth?

Here we have an article about how a confidential report leaked on 14 kids that died in care. It describes "child advocate" Darlene MacDonald as "livid". Livid eh? Wait till she see's what we have in store. Every death in care should be up for public scrutiny. And families should be given support and bet met with compassion and understanding. 

Yet we must know!!!

This is the age of the internet. The age of information. We must not tolerate these failed politicians, social workers and so called children's advocates.

"Child death reports are strictly confidential because the death of a child should not carry an assumption that the public has a right to examine the histories of each family affected by such tragedy,"  Miss livid wrote.

We may not need to know the family history but we must absolutely must know who died, how they died and what kinds of things they were going through at the time.

And here is little miss livid herself talking about how she is glad she will be able to release more information. This article was before she was livid because they want to control the information. They do not care about true justice.
Here in Manitoba most the people that develop policies and work in social work have failed this city. The system protects itself over the children they fail to protect.

Here is a 2 year old promise of an independant children's advocate yet things just get worse.
Of course it always talks about lack of funding.
If only we had more monies then we would not have children being ripped from their families and put into a unsafe enviroment that seeks to place certain controls that are completely in effective. Money is not the major part problem. 

The number of kids just keep increasing no matter what is said. 

It is time something is done to know what happens to kids in care. 

How can we make the government release the names?

Could we encourage more leaks by way of shaming all those that have the power to leak?

We must do more!!! 

We must become organized!!!

We must make them expect us!!!
