Mindset -An Interesting Read

If you haven't checked out the book Mindset, I recommend that you do.

It has important applications not only for your self development but also your work and personal relationships.

At it's core, it is about a growth and fixed mindset. Believing that you can develop traits and skills versus believing that you either have it or you don't.

I won't spoil the book for you but one aspect of the fixed mindset that I hadn't considered was that if you are fixed - your performance and achievement is a validation of your talent.

Conversely, any failure puts into question your worth. This explains a lot of things I've seen over the years and is sort of an 'a ha' moment for me

Some of the examples can be a little flimsy of the growth side, especially since I'm familiar with one of the examples, but on the whole, it is a good read
