<div class="text-justify"> Hi, Steemians! Even the very best of us sometimes come across people who they shouldn’t trust, but in doing so pay the consequence of betrayal. It is an undeniable truth that there are a lot of bad people out there waiting to take advantage of you at every given opportunity. When we trust easily and get betrayed later on, we have not shown weakness. The weakness belongs to those who would do everything to meet their ends, regardless of the ethical consequences involved. How do we deal with people like that? <center> </center> <a href="https://unsplash.com/photos/akT1bnnuMMk">img src</a> <div class="text-justify"> This needs not saying, but when you declare someone as your enemy, even inside your own brain, you start building resentment. Resentment that has no sense of manifestation in the outside world becomes a mental pressure point in the future. All the built-up anger and hatred will devour your soul, all the while your enemy is not even thinking about you anymore after their betrayal. That being said, we see a lot of people who are forgiving towards those who do them harm and make them suffer. Why is that? <center> </center> <a href="https://unsplash.com/photos/I7V-bTpnkTg">img src</a> <div class="text-justify"> Everyday, you see a lot of people forgive their enmities and bound together in unity. The reason behind that is those people are so good that they cannot even hate their enemies. Their sense of empathy makes them realize that their enemies are not that well off, despite what appearances may suggest. Doing terrible things to others will eventually have its toll on one’s soul. People who take advantage of others or make them suffer without justification live in a hell of their own making, and that is why most people pity them. This pity will give you the opportunity to forgive and move on. Realize that these people are not strong, and nor are they happy. These people are pitiable, and if given the opportunity, we should help them see and strive towards a better path than before.
