Hey everyone!
[pexel](https://www.pexels.com/photo/portrait-of-men-with-photos-in-frame-11455958/)
Courtesy of this week's [weekend experience]( https://hive.blog/hive-168869/@galenkp/writing-suggestions-week-140--weekend-engagement-concept) writing, I just learned what a time capsule is. We learn everyday! Let's get right into the question of my choosing, shall we? >Time capsule You have the opportunity to leave three of your personal items in a time capsule to be buried then dug up in two hundred years from today. What do you put in there and why? How do you feel people of the future will interpret your items? Answer in at least 300 words and use photos you personally took if possible. Two hundred years is such a long long time. At that time, I already died. My kid(s) would have too. My grandkids? Not too sure about them but they'll most probably be old and frail and may have no interest in opening up the contents of the capsule. When I look at older persons, I sometimes wonder what life was like in their time. A considerable lot has changed, afterall, changes happen every now-and-then in this present time. Some others, courtesy of their, "things used to be this way and that way and whatnot.." talks, To satisfy curiosity, I try to hang around them when I can, listen to their jokes and what makes them laugh, their music, hear them speak of their fondest memories and request that stories be told me. These help a little. What three things would I leave? And why just three? It almost seems complex trying to figure out what I should leave but, I'll try... ### •Family album ### Cliche right? Well, my fathers of old kept picture albums. That the closest I've felt to them. Some are torn at the edges, almost going bad and also are in white and black physical format, yet, I can look at them and see the message, maybe 3ven get a feel of what their lives were like. I'll leave pictures of the ones before me and even all of the family present, attach a little name description to it too. ### •A journal ### This may just be the closest they get to actually feel and delate with me. Naturally, my journal will tell of my life's journey, struggles, achievements and every single phase and emotion. They might just find that a thing of two hasn't really evolved, maybe find similarities in our personalities. Just as books, they'll get to explore and experience what my life had been through my ink. Tucked between the pages will be a letter addressed to them. I'm oblivious of what contents it may hold. I'll have have to start writing first. ### •My favourite book. ### I read quite a lot. I don't know what the reading culture would be like in that time but I trust that most of the books we read now wouldn't hold so much interest to them. My favourite book is one that I cannot begin to explain how dearly I hold it to mind. The paradigm I got from from exploring the pages is just amazing. I hope they get the message. I'm sure they will. I really cannot tell how exactly they'll feel about these findings but I want to assume that like me, they may have been/ will be interested to know what life in time past was like. So there! It wasn't so hard after all. But hey, those are the three items I'll leave in my time capsule. If only they could be more. Thank you for gracing this post. Greetings!
