Hey Steemians Today is a sad day indeed, while I am first to say that I am a DC fan boy through and through I can't fault Marvel comics when it comes to the joy theuy've brought me from childhood until older childhood now. I'm pretty critial over how Marvel has bastardized some of its content in the MCU, perhaps a bit salty because my favourite Superhero from Marvel is Spider-man and they've beat that IP to death. Give us a break Marvel, I'm still not over Toby!  *Image source: Getty images* But now is not the time to question Marvel but a time to mourn a genius in his own right. Stan Lee passed away today, at the age of 95 the Marvel comics comic-book writer, editor, film executive producer, actor, and publisher was an integral part of creating the billion-dollar brand we all know and love today. He was also editor-in-chief of Marvel Comics, and later its publisher and chairman. This dude seriously had energy for days even in his old age. While many may know him as the old cameo guy in Marvel movies his actually a walking brand himself. He is to Marvel, what Steve Jobs was to Apple. Lee, who began in the business in 1939 and created or co-created Black Panther, Spider-Man, the X-Men, the Mighty Thor, Iron Man, the Fantastic Four, the Incredible Hulk, Daredevil and Ant-Man, among countless other characters, died early Monday morning at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles This dudes achievements and accolades are way too long to list and the characters he created and worlds he brought to life from his imagination has touched the world over and his impact on the world will continue. ## Marvel the man Are you a Marvel fan?
