 Look I have had a Hive account for about 4 years at this point. I got one to start playing Splinterlands all those years ago. I picked up playing Rising Star and like APE Mining Club and then 2 years ago I was stretched to thin in the web3 space and stopped all things HIVE. (and boy do I regret that now haha). But at the start of 2025 I decided to get back into HIVE and log back into Splinterlands. Luckily I had 1,000 SPS staked before I left and so was able to collect that passive earning and I started to play Splinterlands again. I then was looking around for other games to play on Hive.  I went to https://hive.io/eco/ and started to look for games and such and this is what I saw. <center></center> I checked out PeakD and Hive.Blog and figured I would poke around Hive.Blog (that lasted about a week until I went full tilt with PeakD instead). And then the slippery slope appeared. I was on my way down the rabbit hole. <center></center>  Because of posts I read on PeakD I came across this cool newly released game Crownrend. <center></center> I started playing and I am hooked. I wrote a tutorial article for the Tutorial Contest and won 1st place! <center>[](https://peakd.com/crownrend/@cherokee4life/crownrend-tutorial-template)</center> <center>*Each image of a article in this post should also be a clickable link to that article as well.*</center> I earned 6.70 in votes/tips and I was blown away by that. That people liked my content enough to tip my articles was a great feeling.  I kept posting about Splinterlands anytime I saw there was a contest going on. It wasn't just about earning rewards though for me, it was a way for me to get better ingulfed at writing on Hive and posting more regularly and also forcing myself to figure out more about Splinterlands as a whole. <center>[](https://peakd.com/splinterlands/@cherokee4life/my-splinterlands-art-contest-entry-week-332)</center> This article earned me 12.30 in rewards just from the post itself. I was stunned. Absolutely shocked. <center></center> What you gotta know is that I have been posting on Publish0x for the past 5 years semi regularly and I have NEVER gotten rewards from a post that even come close to what I am earning on Hive in my first month and a half. (If you take out the Publish0x contests they have sometimes that I get rewards for but those are one offs)  I also came across this 'game' called Holozing. I say 'game' in parenethesis because well you can't play it yet as it is still in alpha testing as far as I know. But you can purchase their Alpha Vial before launch and you can start to earn their token $ZING and also stake it to earn passively. <center></center> I bought a Alpha Vial and staked it and just kind of let it sit there. It was around this time that I decided that I should start some Goals for my time on HIVE this year. I wanted to have goals to reach towards and to actively work towards. So I started a new weekly post tracking my goals throughout the year. This is much for me as it is to share with all of you. Showing you what I have and what I am earning so that even the little guys like me can see that it is doable. <center>[](https://peakd.com/splinterlands/@cherokee4life/my-hive-goals-for-2025)</center> Now it was also around this time (about 4 days ago at time of writing this article) that I really got interested in Holozing more. My Crownrend learning curve was complete and I could transition to just sit back and play the game passively as I knew all the ins and outs of the game. So I started to accumulate more ZING in the hopes of stockpiling it and have more then enough for when the game launches. <center></center> I started down my Rabbit Hole tendencies to accumulate ALL the IP I could for Holozing to make content for that game. People post their own artwork based on the canon animals but I am not an artist so I knew that wasn't my path. I decided to create a GIF Blog Footer and also decided to document the process to hopefully show you all how you can do it to. And guys let me tell you... I woke up this morning to 87 notifications on my PeakD account and I also noticed that my article was #1 Trending... <center></center> I don't say all of this to brag, but to be quite honest it's the exact opposite. I am writing this to say thank you to the person reading these words right now. You have decided to read the words that I thought of and typed out. It means the world to me. You don't know me but you view my content. I am not even just talking to people who vote/tip for over 10 or 20 on a post. It's all of you who tip less than 0.01 that I can relate to. I have 93 HivePower right now (trying to grow it to the thousands) and so my votes on articles are worth like 0.001 but I still vote on posts and comments I enjoyed reading. You guys are my people and I appreciate you. (and lets be honest, I appreciate the heavy voters/tippers too 😉)  So with all that being said, I will repeat myself to be perfectly clear. Hive is BANANAS and the single best place for a writer or creator to post their content. I appreciate all of you more than you probably know.
