I painted this along Oak Creek, and I was struck by the dramatic, strong morning light in contrast to the shadows. It is rather boldly painted with large brushes and painting knives.

_Some thoughts on Steemit:_

I post here every day because I love this platform. I'm just a dumb artist so what do I know about the workings of Steemit and the issues involved? Yes, I read some of the posts about various issues folks have with how Steemit's price is down and the other things such as curation guilds, the future of Steemit, and a myriad of other ideas Steemians have about how to improve the platform and make it more accepted. But my eyes glaze over and I start to drool when they start talking in acronyms and terms I'll never understand in a million years. My artist-brain simply doesn't absorb that stuff.

I simply see Steemit as a great place to post my artworks and have people see them and appreciate them. I know of no better place. So where Steemit is going from here, I have no idea. I just keep posting, and why not? It's great posting here and being appreciated by other posters I admire: @gringalicious, @exyle, @countryinspired, @reddust, @ocrdu, @heiditravels, @kevinwong, @mayasky, @marketingmonk, to name just a few. And believe me, I really appreciate all the upvotes and views.

I used to have a Facebook page and a Twitter account, but I deleted them because I don't like how they use people for profit. I started both accounts because I was trying them as ways to get my images out there, get collectors interested, obtain more email newsletter subscribers, and sell my work. In the end, I finally figured that I was getting nowhere fast, and so when Steemit appeared on my radar, I was all over it.

I will continue posting here until the cows come home.

I hope you enjoy seeing this painting.

More to come,

Lee
