However, regardless of what the thoughts are, majority want to start a business in grand style especially when the capital to do so is available, the brain immediately want to utilize most of the resources to launch something big. While this is great… however, it is most times advised to always start small before going big. If you look at most of the top businesses in the world right now, they all started small, learning, improving and becoming better until they got so much experience and knowledge to grow the business into becoming a big success. That I why the successful business owners will always advise that “if you want to go into a business, you have to start small”. Like I was saying, there are so many benefits that come with starting small before delving deep. When you go into a business on a large scale, it becomes more unforgiven to make mistakes or fail which leads to hindrance in trying out new things that could be a game changer for the business. That is why you see some business that were huge back in the days no longer in business today because they didn’t utilize change. Most big business are afraid to make changes because they are in the mindset of “…don’t fix what is not broken”… because they are already doing well, they don’t want to mess things up by making change. And the negative implication to this is that things can go past them much quicker, leaving them behind. The world is changing and things are moving at a very fast pace… that is the same way customers move to where thing are current and the latest things are happening… [Image Source](https://www.hiveage.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/06/growing-a-small-business.png) This is almost what happens when you start big… you have this natural fear not to experiment so as not to fail because of the huge investment and you keep doing what is already working for you. This can be great because you don’t need to change what is already giving you results and working for you… however, sometimes you need to go against your wish to experiment and try out new things as that is the only way to discover new opportunities or new ways that could yield even more and better results. However, when a business is small, it becomes a lot more forgiving to make mistakes and fail… it also allows the business owner to experiment different ideas, try out various new things and the good thing is that, there is room to make mistakes and learn from those mistakes. A lot of small business have skyrocketed into becoming one of the successful brands today because they experimented various ideas until they came up with a solution that brought massive results and success even after series of mistakes and failures. Like the say, "Rome wasn't built in a day... Start small, learn, improve, become better and grow your way into success.
