0.000 HBDI think Plagiarism is a very big crime. It is actually taking credit for something you actually didn't work in any way for. It is painful to see someone going through the stress of publishing an article only to have another take credit for it, that's unfair and downright painful. I think Plagiarism is a type of fraud and obviously should be punishable. I think the introduction of the downvotes as a way of curbing Plagiarism is a really nice idea. It's good to see that there's actually a system in place to monitor plagerised posts and deal heavily with them. I think nothing can entirely stop plagerism because it is the normal human nature and it'll continue to happen no matter how much we fight it but the good thing about fighting it is that it becomes reduced to a very large extent and that's the aim. we'll get to a point where we'll not hardly see plagerised posts on this platform but it doesn't mean it'll end entirely. Another thing is most authors need to learn to give credit for whatever content they borrow, be it images or quotes and so on. Let's just work together to ensure that the Hive is a better place, there's no room for criminality.
