 A few weeks ago [I sent some Steem to shapeshift and my transaction got stuck](https://steemit.com/trade/@chitty/money-stuck-in-shapeshift-for-over-a-week). I had to submit a support ticket in order to get it back, which happened days later. The fact that I got my Steem refund shows that Shapeshift is actually a serious company, I never put that in doubt. Now, the weird thing is my refund deposit came from Bittrex.  As we speak, trading Steem is unavailable at Shapeshift and their last transfer was made 15 days ago, which leads me to believe that they have lost control over the @shapeshiftio account. I asked Shapeshift Support if Steem would come back online but I did not get a reply on the issue. This situation is a shame since Shapeshift was a very fast way to convert Steem to other currencies without using an exchange.
